Work Place Friends

I have to stop for a minute and say that I have some great work place friends!

Tuesday, I received a gift for Miss Mia from my friend Jen - some cute Little Golden Book books . . . Miss Mia loved them.

Then, Christine surprised me by bringing me a McD's fruit and yogurt parfait! It was more than yummy - and just what I needed as I was getting ready to raid Marci's chocolate basket!

Speaking of Marci . . . I think she is one of the most awesome women out there! She made certain to give Miss Mia a VERY, VERY nice gift and hung out with us last Thursday evening at my place . . . oooohhhing and aaaahhhing as Miss Mia booked it across the front lawn and just acted all silly for our guest!

Cadin's Visit

Our friends Tiffany and Mike stopped in tonight - they brought their son Cadin. Cadin is about 6 weeks younger than Miss Mia (and around 4" taller and close to 7 pounds heavier!) Miss Mia doesn't get a chance to play with kids her own age, so she had a lot of fun this evening!

Cadin (and his parents) gave Miss Mia her birthday gift - a book! Miss Mia took a long time to open it - she loves being a show off! The wait was well worth it! We'll be reading this book a lot!

Basement Progress

This past weekend, my Dad, Dad's Cousin Joe and Steve focused on the closet/pantry. they hung drywall and framed in the door. My assignment for the week is to get the first layer of mud on the drywall!
