okay. i am a failure as a mommy trying to keep up with blogging as well as working at least fifty hours a week and chasing after two high energy gals. i think ill just do a few entries of pics to get us caught up. but for now, on my tablet, we are just going with random thoughts.
1. my friend lost her adorable baby girl who was same age as Aisey. my heart was ripped out when I found out CAROLINE was no longer with us. a month later, i still have moments where i want to cry. I can only imagine the heartbreak Hope is experiencing.
2. after a very bad endocrinologist appt in September, I began working out. I work out six days a week for an hour a time. I started as a size 16. I weighed 166 pounds. Today I am a size 8/10, depending on the day and weigh 159. I get quite defeated over the weight since i don't drink pop, watch what i eat and have only lost a few pounds. fingers crossed that this will make my blood work be much better . . . doc appt in two weeks.
3. Aisey weighed in @ 17.15 and 28" for her 15 month appointment. she is such a tiny thing. she is still wearing 6-9 month clothing. she was off the bottle the week she turned one., . . with no fuss. her first word was num.num. today, her favorite word is hot. and yes she has to tell us everything that is hot. she loves following miss mia around, copying everything she does. she also enjoys picking on the doggies. hugging the kitties is another fun past time of hers.
4. miss mia is growing like a weed. i have to pack away all of her 3T clothing and some of the size 4T pants are also too short. miss mia loves dancing and reading. she also gets up with me for workouts. she loves showing off her yoga moves. baking with me is still something she loves to do.
5. both girls spend Sundays with my mom and two grams since im on mandatory ten hours overtime. i love that my girls have the chance to be around their grams.
6. speaking of grammas, Steve's mom is still in the care facility after her last stroke. been there since before Halloween. we went trick or treating there. and we go visit each Sunday. unfortunately, January was not a good month for us and we lost her roomie, Dee Dee. very hard to explain to our girls as we found out of ber passing just before arriving at the care facility and had no time to prep them for why Dee Dee wasn't there. So, Miss Mia is a little obsessed with angels and Heaven and January was also the month we lost my step grandma, Pat, and Great Uncle Don.
7. I now work chez moi full time.
8.. we celebrated mom and dad's 40th anniversary with a lasanga dinner here. i made a quilt and we had cupcakes. just something small and simple. oh, i also made some subway art. i will have to find pics and post in another blog entry.
i'll try to keep up with things from here on out!

Happy Seven Month Birthday!
Dear Aisey,
You're now 7 months old! You need to stop growing. Mommy looks at you and cannot believe what all you've accomplished. SLOW DOWN! We can't keep you still. If you're in our lap, you're kicking your feet. In your chair, you stretch your toes until you almost touch the ground. You pull yourself up on everything, including the cats, your sister and Mommy. Momy has to get Daddy to lower your crib mattress as you were standing in the corner crying after she'd placed you there for a moment while your bath was being prepared.
We've started you on foods, but you're really not a huge fan yet. You did enjoy the pears when Mommy thickened them with oatmeal. Last Saturday, Mommy had a strawberry banana smoothie and you had a sip. You enjoyed it. We'll get you eating some real foods, I promise!
You've increased the amount of milk you're drinking a LOT. Mommy and Daddy cannot believe how much you're drinking and can't figure out where you're hiding it as you're still just a tiny thing! You're drinking 4-6 oz milk at a time. Unfortunately, this means you went through Mommy's freezer stash quicker than she expected and you're now formula fed. You didn't like formula at first, giving us some horrid looks, but now, you've accepted that Mommy had to switch.
Clothing - most of your onesies are still 3-6 months. Dresses - Mommy is laughing when she says she's still dressing you in all of the cute 0-3 month ones that you didn't get to wear this winter. You have piles and piles of dresses and Mommy is trying to wear all of them on you at least one time. 0-3 month onesies would still fit you, but they are starting to get a little tighter when we use some of your bulkier cloth diapers. So, Mommy has packed most of them up for your little cousin who will be joining us shortly.
Diapers are size 1(s) when we use disposables.
Bedtime is around 730. If you aren't in bed then, you make certain to let us know your displeasure. You were having a rough week or two of waking every 2 or so hours, but you're back to waking once to eat and then going back to sleep. Mommy tries to keep you in the crib, but there are some nights that you just don't agree with that sleeping situation.
You've enjoyed the yardsales we've been to lately. Mommy tosses you in her Ergo and you just chill as we stroll along. You also cruise through the mall the same way.
Mommy has a jogging stroller (actually a single AND a double) and you enjoy when we're walking. You're not a fan of when we job, so that's something on which we'll be working.
You like the puppies and giggle up a storm when they give you kisses. Then, when Miss Mia is around, you are a non-stop giggler. The two of you carry on in the backseat of the car while Mommy is driving.
You don't really have a favorite toy - unless you count your sister.
If you're upset, Mommy coming makes it all better.
You're not crawling yet, but you're up on your hands and knees constantly. You're able to move across the floor quickly in a sitting, squirming type action. Mommy has to keep on your sister to keep everything picked up because you're able to reach everything, no matter where it is located!
Those pesky teeth haven't made an appearance. You love hearing us sing. Tickles bring out huge grins. You're forever making motorboat noises and shreiks. Your newest little sound is "HI!" It's amazing how close it is to the word!
And most importantly, you're just too cute and adorable for words.
Love you,
Mommy

A Sister's Revenge
The moment I found out I was pregnant with Aisey, I was overjoyed. And afraid. We wanted Miss Mia to know we loved her and that the new baby wouldn't take all of the time and attention away from her.
We have our moments. Miss Mia will decided that she cannot share her Weebles with Aisey. She will hide all of Sissy's binkies. She will do something "bad" on purpose to redirect our attention back to her as we put her in time out for her actions.
But these are rarities. For the most part, she loves her Sissy. Her new "fun with Sissy" is laying on her back, letting Aisey crawl (and drool!) all over her. How cute!
