Friends!

Awhile ago, my friend Christine came over and we had a day of making Jams and Jellies. It was so much fun, and such a success, we decided to do so again.

This time, I wanted to make it into a little party - almost a last hurrah prior to the Little Pumpkin making her debut. So, I invited a few friends.

It was so much fun!

Jen B. was first to arrive. I put her to work washing jars and warming them in the oven. Then, Courtney arrived. Christine was next - she had furthest to drive, so we knew she would also be running a little later. Also, she stopped at the farmer's market to make certain we had the freshest ingredients.

By this time, we were starting our Jams and Jellies.

Jen H was last to arrive.

I was a little nervous as I had work friends and friends I've known forever . . . not certain how they'd get along. Don't know why I was worried. They were such a great group. We worked so well together. I bossed them around while they did the various chores.

We ended up with the following:
~ 2 batches of Pumpkin Butter
~ 2 batches of Fruit 'N Honey Jam
~ 2 batches of Chablis Jelly
~ 2 batches of Cranberry Jelly
~ 1 batch of Apple Preserves
~ 1 batch of Apple Cinnamon Tea Jelly
~ 1 batch of Apple Cinnamon Syrup
~ 1 batch of Apple Maple Jam
~ 1 batch of Hot Pepper Honey Mustard

My helpers were at my house for 12 hours - and I think it was a great success!
