Crib Recall and Sleep Issues

We have been trying to get through the separation anxiety phase Amelia has currently found herself in. We had been doing well until about 2 weeks ago when I heard that Stork Craft had recalled ALL of their cribs made from 1999 to present. Yes, We have a Stork Craft and yes, that would mean our crib was among those recalled. They stated no children had died due to the faulty brackets, but they still suggested the cribs stopped being used until replacement parts could be sent out.

That meant, we had to come up with a new sleeping spot for Miss Mia. We decided she would share the bed with me while Steve slept on the floor. So, at night, surrounded by pillows, Miss Mia would cuddle with me.

I FINALLY got word from Stork Craft that they had received my email this past Friday. Almost two full weeks since the recall was announced. So, getting a little frustrated at how long this was lasting, and knowing that we were taking a zillion steps back, I had Steve pull out the Pack and Play and set it up in our bedroom. She can still be with us, but also get used to sleeping by herself.

Here she is, all cuddled up in the Pack N Play with her Lovey (transitional object) and her Strawberry Shortcake Comforter Mom gave her before she was even born. Isn't she just too cute and cuddly?
