Four Months - A Little Late
Miz Aisey,
You were 4 months on the 20th. Unfortunately, your Daddy and Big Sis had a virus and we were busy taking care of them! That's why Mommy is a little late posting this entry for you!
You started rolling a week before you turned 4 months . . . and you LOVE it! If we put you down on your back, you instantly roll to your belly! Then, while on your belly, you look all around and are even starting to scoot!
Sunday was also the first night you spent in your crib. That's right, you've moved from your cradle to the crib! You seem to love it. Mommy turns the aquarium on the lullaby setting and you usually fall asleep instantly - on your side as (again) your back does not seem as fun now that you've discovered how to roll. You also have Sissy's puppy in there and you've managed to tug the cord a few times, making him sing!
You now purposely reach for things. Your two favorite things to reach for and touch are the family kitties, Simba and Nala. As soon as you touch their soft fur, you get this big gooey grin on your face and slide your hand back and forth over their fur!
You went for your 4 month appointment with Dr. P on the 22nd (which was your Gramma S's 60th Birthday!) You weighed 11 pounds, 12 ounces and were 24 inches long. That means you're in the 50th for height and the 25th for weight. Not too shabby! Mommy is to keep nursing you and will add in food once you decide you would like to eat. We decided, along with Dr. P., that you're doing well without food, so we won't rush you along!
You often sit in your high chair while Mommy (and Daddy and Sissy) cook. You love to observe and will coo to all of us as we talk with you. You started dropping the rattle on the floor so it makes a really long noise. Then, the silly people around you, pick it up and give it back, earning another of those beautiful smiles!
You also have a pretty good idea for your bedtime. Mommy will start the bedtime process around 7, and you're usually asleep by 8. You've started rubbing your eyes as a cue as well. If you're not ready for sleep, you let Mommy know by rolling over onto your belly and fussing . . . and then screaming loudly if no one pays you any attention.
Yes, you blow raspberries all of the time, giggle and give full belly laughs as well as shrieking in happiness. And you're just so gosh-darn cute!
I love you!
~ Mommy
